Reflecting Design announces that the Pazzo 38 and Pazzo 27 are now available in Black Wenge. The finish is a deep chocolate wood texture with a low sheen (flat) finish, very much like the Black Grain finish in the transitional line. Possessing a depth of colour the effect is a good alternative to the opaque Flat Black finish. This is a small expansion of the palette making the colours now available as; Bone White, Flat Black and Black Wenge

Photography soon to follow. See ‘Colours’ on the ‘Resources’ page for a better understanding of finishes.

Reflecting Design participated in HD Expo, the Hospitality and Design Exposition, held at the Sands Convention Center, Las Vegas on May 19-21, 2010.

This was Reflecting Design’s first participation in the show, attended by Matthew Buck, designer and principal. The show and most particularly the effort given by Exhibitors to their presentations was encouraging after previous trips to LA Mart and High Point Market. Still creativity and inspiration evades some with their pipe and drap backdrops, vinyl signage and lack-lustre presentations. One can only surmise the route cause but these businesses are a real let-down. The irony is baffling. Here is the front end of interior design industry , or part of it, demonstrating about as much taste and creativity as….. this writer has for a good metaphor? Just an observation.

Reflecting Design is pleased to announce two new designs to their line of decorative convex mirrors – FRIESHEN 15 and CRUYF 29.

Designed by Matthew Buck the styles are inspired by the austerity of the early Dutch renaissance. “I think of deep black picture frames, strong and masculine, simple yet imposing in their presence”, says designer Matthew Buck. “At first I was thinking black and antique gold but I find these designs work equally well in the other colours in my mirror frame palette.”

True to style Reflecting Design has found names with a Dutch sensibility, and true to form they have found two most people will be uncertain how to pronounce.

Frieshen 15 [Free-Shen] is a 15 inch diameter frame with a 12 inch mirror.

Croyf 29 [CRoyFF] is a 29 inch diameter frame with a 25 inch mirror.

Available in six colours; Flat Black, Antique Gold, Pewter, Black Grain, Bone White and Harvest Bronze.
