They are emotionally warmer than a two dimensional flat mirror. Flat mirrors are practical, convex mirror are fun.

Fun but not funhouse – Reflecting Design’s convex mirrors are geometrically perfect and distortion free. They reflect a large panorama in perfect symmetry. This means the experience is not upsetting and one is not put off-balance. Objects are rendered smaller and slimmer as a function of the outward curve.
